Pacman tinalo ni Mayweather sa WBC ranking

Sa kabila ng pagiging top contender bilang ‘pound-for-pound best boxer’ sa loob ng 122 linggo, sumesegunda pa rin si Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao kay American world welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Nasa mga kamay pa rin ni Mayweather, ang naghahari ngayon sa World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight division, ang No. 1 seat kasunod ang WBC International super featherweight titlist na si Pacquiao.

Nagbabandera si Mayweather, tinalo na si Oscar Dela Hoya ng Golden Boy Promotions nitong taon, ng 38-0 win-loss ring record kasama ang 24 KOs.

Ang paghihintay sa magiging resulta ng susunod na laban ng 28-anyos na si Pacquiao ang sinasabing magbibigay kay ”Pacman” ng No. 1 slot, ayon sa Ring Magazine, ang kinikilalang ‘Bible of Boxing’.

Nasa ilalim ni Pacquiao, may 45-3-2 (35 KOs), sa listahan ng Ring Magazine sina WBC super featherweight king Juan Manuel Marquez (47-3-1, 35 KOs) ng Mexico, world lightheavyweight ruler Bernard Hopkins (48-4-1, 32 KOs), Mexican WBC super bantamweight titlist Israel Vazquez (42-4, 31 KOs), middleweight Winky Wright (51-4-1, 25 KOs), super bantamweight Rafael Marquez (37-4, 33 KOs), super middlweight Joe Calzaghe (43-0, 32 KOs), junior welterweight Ricky Hatton (43-0, 31 KOs) at welterweight Miguel Angel Cotto, (30-0, 25 KOs).
