Bono, Castro naglalaban sa PBL-MVP

Magkaibang estilo, magkaibang puwesto ngunit sina 6-foot-5 Kenneth Bono at 5-foot-10 Jason Castro ang naglalaban para sa Most Valuable Player award ng 2007 PBL Unity Cup pagkatapos ng  quarterfinal round.

Nangunguna si Bono sa statistical race sa kanyang 518 points matapos pangunahan ang Moneymen sa league-best 10-2 record sa elimination round.  Ang reigning MVP sa UAAP na si Bono ang may league-leading average na 16.33 points, 6.75 rebounds at 2.16 assists.

Di naman nakalalayo si Castro na nagtatangka ng kanyang ikalawang PBL MVP trophy sa kanyang  501 statistical points mula sa kanyang 12.08 markers, 5.67 rebounds, 4.75 assists at 1.25 steals per game.

Ang frontcourt partner naman ni Bono na si Doug Kramer ay nasa third spot na may  467 points matapos manguna sa rebounds sa 8.75 boards average.

Nasa ikaapat na puwesto naman si J.R. Quiñahan ng Burger King sa kanyang average na 448 puntos. Ang madalas na Mythical Five member na tinaguriang “Baby Shaq” ay may 2.33 blocks a game bukod sa kanyang  13.33 markers, 7.33 rebounds at 1.75 assists.

Si Dennis Daa ng Toyota Balintawak ang kumumpleto ng top-five sa kanyang 425 statistical points kasunod sina  Chad Alonzo  (416), Patrick Cabahug (402),  Macky Escalona at Eric dela Cuesta (400) at Chico Lanete (387).
