Makulay at masiglang MY Games National opening

Makulay at masiglang opening ceremonies ang inihanda para sa 2nd Manila Youth Games National Invitational sa Linggo sa San Andres Sports and Civic Center sa Malate, Manila.

Ang internationally recognized choreographer na si Tony Fabella, ang director sa inaugural rites ng 2005 Southeast Asian Games at Para Games, ay naghanda ng di malilimutang sports at cultural showcase na tatampukan ng Manila Dance Center troupe at Philippine Taekwondo Association demonstration team sa opening program ng isang linggong sportsfest na hatid ng Converse at sponsor ng PAGCOR, San Miguel Corporation, Tanduay at Super Ferry.

"We want to open the 2nd MY Games National Invitational on a rousing note to set the spirited tone of this age-group meet featuring some of our promising athletes from all over the country," ani Manila Sports Council at Inner City Development Committee chairman Arnold "Ali" Atienza na tumatayo ring Presidential Assistant for Youth and Sports.

Magkakaroon ng Ati-atihan band sa parada ng mga atleta at opisyal at tampok ang cheering competition bilang pampagana sa Palarong ito na suportado ng Milo, Landbank, Metrobank, Spurway Enterprises, Jex Nylon Shuttles, STI, PLDT My DSL, Aktivade, Procter and Gamble, Globe Telecoms, IntrASports at Concept Movers.

Si Manila Mayor Lito Atienza, ang pormal na magbubukas ng 2nd MY Games National Invitational.

Tinatayang 3,000 athletes at officials mula sa 40 major cities, municipalities at probinsiya sa iba’t ibang dako ng bansa ang lalahok sa athletics, badminton, taekwondo, football, at little league softball at baseball. (Mae Balbuena)
