PBA Board meeting sa Macau

Ang lahat ng mangyayari para sa 2006-2007 season ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ay pagplaplanuhan ng Board of Governors sa kanilang tatlong araw na pagpupulong simula ngayong hapon sa Macau.
Sa ikalawang pagkakataon, magbo-board meeting ang PBA sa ibang bansa, pangungunahan ng bagong PBA Chairman na si Ricky Vargas ng Talk N Text ang pagpupulong.
Noong 2004, nag-meeting ang PBA Board sa Hong Kong.
Nagkaroon na ng preliminary meeting ang executive board, na binubuo nina chairman Vargas, vice chair Tony Chua ng Red Bull, treasurer Lito Alvarez ng Air21at commissioner Noli Eala, noong Huwebes sa PBA office sa Ultra Complex sa Pasig.
"We went through the nitty-gritty. We talked about the budget and projections which will be the basis for the presentation in Macau," pahayag ni Eala. "The projections are good and its been approved bythe executive board. Usually, the approval by the executive board is respected by the entire board."
Isa sa pag-uusapan sa Macau ay ang pagtatag ng isang komite na magrerebisa ng constitution and by-laws ng liga kung saan kinukunsidera sina dating league commissioner Rudy Salud, ex-PBA legal counsel Butch Cleofe, current legal counsel Melvin Mendoza, operations chief Rickie Santos at veteran journalist Ronnie Nathanielsz.
"The board, through the executive board, has agreed to create the committee that will review the PBA by-laws and policies for the purpose of making it responsive to the times and make the leagues foundation stronger," ani Eala.
Samantala, bilang pagsuporta sa national team, magpapahiram ang Talk N Text, Red Bull, Alaska, Ginebra, Coca-Cola at Air21 ng kanilang apat na players para sa Philippine-Lebanon series.
Lalaro para sa RP squad sina Jimmy Alapag, Don Allado, Renren Ritualo at Asi Taulava ng Phone Pals, Mick Pennisi at Larry Fonacier ng Red Bull, Willie Miller at Mike Cortez ng Aces, Rafi Reavis at Billy Mamaril ng Kings, Dennis Miranda ng Tigers at Ranidel de Ocampo ng Express.
Nakatakda ang dalawang laban ng RP team at Lebanon sa Aug. 13 sa Cuneta Astrodome at Aug. 16 sa Araneta Coliseum. (MBalbuena)
