Eleksiyon sa TATAP kinansela

Kinansela ng Philippine Olympic Committee ang nakatakdang eleksiyon ngayon sa Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP).

Ito’y dahil nais muna ng POC na ayusin muna ng kasalukuyang pamunuan ang mga mahahalagang isyu.

Sinabi ni POC legal adviser Atty. Ding Tanjuatco, na kumunsulta sa mga kinauukulan kabilang ang POC arbitration committee na pinamumunuan ni Manny Lopez ng boxing, "at least two weeks are needed to fine-tune the details of a clean and orderly election."

"More time is needed to settle, among others, the fundamental issue of the TATAP leadership. Not only the POC, but all the parties concerned agreed that to turn a blind eye to issues would be simply postponing the solution," sabi ni Tanjuatco.

Ang TATAP ay pinamumunuan ni Victor Valbuena na binabatikos ng ilang miyembro ng table tennis community.

Iminungkahi ni Oscar Santillices, dating national coach at TATAP official na magkaroon ng table tennis summit na siyang magbibigay daan sa mga miyembro na ipahayag ang kanilang concerns at makibahagi sa elections.

Si Valbuena ay nahalal uli bilang TATAP president ilang buwan pa lamang ang nakakaraan ngunit pinawalang bisa ng POC ang kanyang election matapos kuwestiyunin ang proseso.

"The POC wants the current TATAP problems to be totally eliminated. The postponement will enable the full and effective arbitration of the conflict," ani pa ni Tanjuatco.
