Lina umaasang malilinawan ang unliquidated accounts sa PSC

Umaasa si Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines (PhilCycling) president Bert Lina na malilinawan ang kanilang P6 milyong unliquidated cash advances sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Sa pahayag ni PSC Commissioner Richie Garcia, may P6 milyon pang unliquidated cash advances ang cycling federation sapul pa noong 2001. 

Subalit ayon kay Lina, ang asosasyon na nagkaroon ng utang na P4 milyon sa sports commission noong 2001 hanggang 2003 ay ang nagibang Philippine Amateur Cycling Association (PACA) na dating pinamunuan nina Joaquin Preysler at Ponciano Regalado, Jr. 

Dahilan sa unliquidated cash accounts, hindi makakuha ang PhilCycling ng financial assistance mula sa PSC, dagdag ni Lina. 

"If they are liquidated, they have a better chance of being approved than those na talagang wala pang liquidation sa PSC," wika ni Garcia sa mga National Sports Associations (NSAs). 

May P88 milyon ang naging unliquidated cash advances ng 39 NSAs, kabilang na rito ang P6 milyon ng PhilCycling. 

"We are still processing all the requests, liquidated or unliquidated. Kapag hindi pa liquidated, then we deny it or we defer it until the accounts is liquidated," ani Garcia sa mga sports associations. 

Binigyang muli ng PSC ang mga NSAs ng deadline na hanggang Abril 15 upang makapag-sumite ng kanilang mga liquidation accounts. (Russell Cadayona)
