Pinoy wushu artist sali sa World Wushu Cships

Matapos ang matagumpay na kampanya sa nakaraang 23rd Southeast Asian Games, nakatakda namang sumabak ang mga Filipino wushu artists sa 2005 World Wushu Cham-pionship sa Hanoi, Vietnam ngayon.
Kabilang sa mga inaasa-hang mangunguna sa Team Philippines ay sina 2004 world champion Rene Catalan, Arvin Ting, Willy Wang, Vicky Ting, Aida Yang at Edward Fola-yang.
Ayon kay Wushu Federa-tion Philippines (WFP) presi-dent Julian Camacho, napu-wersa silang lumahok sa naturang torneo.
"We have to join this tour-nament kasi kapag two consecutive kang hindi nakasali, you will be suspen-ded by the international wushu federation as a member," dahilan ni Camacho.
Sa nakaraang 2005 SEA Games, humakot ang mga Pinoy wushu artists ng kabuuang 11 gold, 5 silver at 3 bronze medals upang tanghaling overall champion sa nasabing sports discipline.
"Almost 70 countries will be participating in this tournament, kaya we have to try our very best para manalo man lang ng dalawa o tatlong gold medals," wika ni Camacho.
Kabuuang 22 Filipino wushu artists ang siyang ilalaban ng WFP sa nasabing world-caliber event sa Hanoi, Vietnam. (Russell Cadayona)
