December 9, 2005 | 12:00am
He was also very proud about how the SEA Games was staged.
"It was a concerted effort by so many people. Napakaraming naghirap para lang maging matagumpay ang event na yan and everyone should be commended dahil sa success ng SEA Games," sabi ni Ramirez.
"Sa wakes, nagbunga na rin yung mga proyekto namin noon that tried to seek talents from the grassroots. Maraming bagong talent na naging instant heroes and I guess thats what Phil. Sports actually needed. It was so nice to see mga budding sports heroes na parang kailan lang eh akala mo walang future.
"Hindi naman siguro mangyayari to without the support of our kababayans. They filled every possible venue, and supported our athletes to the fullest. Magiging proud ka talaga na maging Pinoy kapag kasama ka sa ganung audience cheering their heart out for our athletes. I am sure were bound to make Phil. Sports great again.
"He was so helpful from beginning to end. He made sure everything was okay as far as our athletes were concerned. At sa mga laro, lagi siyang nandun to give support and cheer to the athletes. I am sure all our athletes appreciate what he did," dagdag pa ni Ramirez.
From hereon, umaasa si Ramirez na umpisa pa lang ito ng mas marami pang glorya for Phil. Sports.
"Rest assured that we will continue to seek greater glory for Phil. Sports."
