Castro, Payla sasabak sa World Boxing Cships

Kakampaya sina Athens Olympics fly-weight Violito Payla at light flyweight Godfrey Castro sa biennial World Boxing Championships na mag-sisimula ngayon sa Mian-yang, China.
Kasama ng dalawang boxers si veteran coach Nolito 'Boy' Velasco sa torneong ito na nilahukan ng mahigit 400-boxers mula sa 80-bansa na ba-hagi ng kanilang pagha-handa para sa Southeast Asian Games. Kabilang din sa grupo si internatio-nal at Olympic referee Arturo Vidal.
''The World Cham-pionships is part of our commitment as a mem-ber of the international boxing body. We've sent a small group because we are preparing for the coming 23rd Southeast Asian Games,'' ani Manny Lopez, president ng Ama-teur Boxing Association of the Philippines.
Ang biyaheng ito ay suportado ng FG Foun-dation, Ginebra San Mi-guel, PSC, Accel, at Paci-fic Heights.
