Pinay boxers muling magpapakitang gilas

Muling magpapakitang gilas ang Philippine Women's Boxing Team para ipakita ang kanilang kahandaan sa nalalapit na Manila Southeast Asian Games sa kanilang nakatakdang pagsabak sa 3rd World Women's Championships ngayon sa Moscow, Russia.

Ang three-Woman squad sa ilalim ni coach Roel Velasco ay kabibilangan ni Asian Women's tourney Gold Medalist Mitchel Martinez.

Makakasama ng light-weight na si Martinez sina Asian Women's tourney silver medalists pinweight Gretchen Abaniel at Flyweight Annie Albania.

"This team is a no-nonsense squad with a lot of experience and credentials. Facing their world counterparts is not new to them since they have met most of their rivals at one time or another. These lady boxers have only a few international exposure but the experience they had last year, fighting against the best Europeans and North Americans in Taiwan last year and the best of the Asians this year have given them the needed know how to fight bigger and more powerful boxers," ani Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) president Manny T. Lopez, na mangunguna sa delegasyon.

Ang biyaheng ito ay suportado ng FG Foundation, at boxing godfather Ginebra San Miguel, katulong ang PSC at Pacific Heights.
