2 Pinoy boxers patungong Pakistan

Dalawang matitikas na lalaki ng Philippine Boxing team ang umalis kahapon patungong Pakistan upang lumahok sa Asian Junior Boxing Championships.
At sa pangangsiwa ni coach Elmer Pamisa, makikipaglaban sina light flyweight Jay-Ar Quiam at lightweight Anthony Marcial kontra sa mga mahuhusay na boxers mula sa region na may edad 19-anyos pababa sa Hunyo-20-25.
"We are committed to participate in this event, the Philippines in general and the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines in particular. This tournament will offers us the opportunity to gauge the grassroots program of the association as these two young boxers are products of our endless search for talents from the provinces," wika ni ABAP president Manny Lopez.
"Jay-Ar Quiam is a 17-year old find from Gen. Santos City while Anthony Marcial is an 18-year-old revelation from Zamboanga City. I am confident that these two young-boxers will make our country proud in the near future," dagdag pa ni Lopez.
Ang koponan ay suporado ng First Gentlemans Foundation, Ginebra San Miguel, Accel at Pacific Heights ay inaasahang makakasabay gaya ng mga heavyweight sa Asian region na magpapadala ng kani-kanilang mga batang mahuhusay na fighters.
Kabilang din sa lalahok sa event na ito ang mga boxers mula sa boxing powers South Korea, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Kazakshtan, Tajikistan, China, Japan, at 15 iba pang bansa.
