National Youth and Women’s Boxing Championships

Patuloy ang pagpapalawak ng Amateur Boxing Association sa identification at magbigay ng exposures sa mga darating na miyembro ng national training pool sa pagdaraos ng National Youth and Women’s Amateur Boxing Championships sa Mayo ngayong taong kasalukuyan.

Ang taunang event, na ayon kay ABAP president Manuel T. Lopez ay magsisilbing recruitment pro-cess para sa mga bagong talento, ay idaraos sa Puerto Princesa City, Palawan sa Mayo 14-22.

Nakataya dito ang mga titulo sa apat na kategorya-- Kids (11 weight divisions), School Boys (16), Cadet (13), at Junior (12) -- maging ang 13 weight classes sa Female category para sa boksingero na lagpas 17 anyos pero hindi mababa sa 34.

"This yearly tourna-ment is a truly compre-hensive youth boxing tournament designed to provide a solid structure and sound fundamental base for the ABAP grass-roots program," ani Lo-pez, na pinormalisa ang pagtatanghal ng torneo sa pagpirma ng Memoran-dum of Agreement kay Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn.
