Arcilla kampeon sa Men's Open singles

Ibinulsa ng top seed na si Johnny Arcilla ang korona ng first Enervon Mens Open Singles Championship kahapon matapos na pabagsakin ang second seed na si Joseph Victorino, 7-5, 2-0 (ret.) sa Makati Sports Club.
Naitakda nina Arcilla at Victorino ang kanilang titular showdown matapos na manaig sa kani-kanilang kalaban sa semifinals round.
Naligtasan ni Arcilla ang kanyang doubles partner at fifth seed na si Adelo Abadia, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, habang nalusutan naman ni Victorino ang kala-bang third seed na si Rolando Ruel, 4-6, 7-6 (7), 6-4.
"I gambled with my game. If I had the chance, I went to the net. I kept surprising him with different shots," ani Arcilla na tumanggap ng champion purse na P38,000 at trophy mula kay Unilab assistant vice president Alvin So at tour-nament organizer Johnny Jose.
"Maybe, I took advantage of his health condition. But despite his fever, Victorino played a very good game. Parang walang sakit," dag-dag pa ni Arcilla.
Sina Arcilla at Victorino na nagpakita ng aksiyon sa Asian Championships sa Uzbekistan noong nakaraang buwan ay kakampanya sa Philippines para sa susunod na taong Southeast Asian Games.
