Kumpiyansa si National race director Rudy Biscocho na malalampasan ang 86,140 bilang ng mga atletang lumahok noong 27th edition kung saan puntirya ng organisasyon ang 100,000 partisipante sa torneong nagsilbing tradisyon sa buhay ng mga Pilipino.
"We are eyeing to hit the 100,000 mark this year and we are hoping that the Department of Education help us to promote the tournament because 59.16 percent of the 86,140 participants last year were students," wika ni Biscocho.
Hahataw ang mga kalahok sa 3K Kiddie Run, 5K Fun Run, 5K Media Run (Final Race), 10K Run (Metro Manila Race), 21K (Half Marathon) Regional Elimination Races, 42K Open Metro Manila Elimination Race at 42.195 K Final Race.
"Over the years, the National Milo Marathon has produced some of the countrys best athletes and we are optimistic that this year wont be an exception," ani MILO Sports Executive Pat Goc Ong.
Ang iba pang regional leg ay sa General Santos, Iloilo City, Metro Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Olongapo City, Cebu City, Tacloban City, Naga City, Davao City, Laoag City, Butuan City, Baguio City at ang Grands finals ay sa Manila. (Ulat ni IAN BRION)
