Tanduay Rhum Riders unti-unting umuusad

APARRI --Bukod sa paghahabol sa karangalan at yaman, natapos ng Team Tanduay ang ilang importanteng bagay bagamat hindi pa natatapos ang Air21 2004 Tour Pilipinas.

"We have been able to show everyone the spirit of competition in us and we are spreading goodwill through this event," ani Larry Li, head ng Tanduay delegation. "There are more important things than winning. Whatever happens, we have sent our message across."

Sumasakay sa "Celebrate the Filipino Spirit," ang tema ng ika-150th anibersaryo ng Tanduay ngayong taon, dahan-dahan ngunit sigurado ang pag-akyat ng Rhum Riders sa standing ng team competition na pinangungunahan ni Arnel Quirimit.

Mula sa 12th at may apat na yugto na lamang ang nalalabi, ang Rhum riders ay nasa 9th place na at salamat sa malakas na performance ng mga siklista noong ika-9th lap noong Sabado.

"Arnel is getting healthier by the day and this has made the team’s morale go up," dagdag ni Li . "The riders are rallying behind their team captain and this is a good sign. We still expect to bag a respectable finish."

Ang Tanduay ay pang-apat noong nakaraang taon.
