Lipa suportado ni Trinidad

Sa pagbabalik ni Chino Trinidad bilang commissioner ng Philippine Basketball League (PBL), nangako itong tutulungan niya si Joe Lipa sa pagbuo ng 20-under-national team.

"I am going to support coach Joe Lipa because in a way, kabisado ko na ang programa niya. They are the future and that’s one of the objectives of the league," wika ni Trinidad na kababalik lamang sa kanyang puwesto matapos ang kanyang biglaang pagbibitiw sa nakaraang Finals ng Platinum Cup.

"I’m sure he (Lipa) can do wonders, but he can’t do it all alone, he needs the support of everybody and that’s the reason why we’re going to support him," aniya pa.

Umaasa si Trinidad na hindi maaapektuhan ang bubuuing team ni Lipa ng kasalukuyang problema ng Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) at ng Basketball Association of the Philippines Incorporated (BAPI).

"We’re losing time because of the leadership row. Kung sino man ang maging official ng association, whether it’s BAP or BAPI, I just hope they will respect the national team being formed by coach Lipa," ani pa ni Trinidad.

Handa si Trinidad na paglaruin sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng panibagong season ng PBL ang 20-under national squad para mahasa ang mga ito.

"We need to nurture them," sabi pa ni Trinidad. "There is still hope for Philippine Basketball and have to start helping the youth team."
