Argentina inimbitahan para sa Fiesta Cup

Inimbitahan ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ang international basketball powerhouse Argentina para sa transition tournament Fiesta Cup na magsisimula sa February 22.

Ito ang sinabi ni Rickie Santos, ang operations manager ng PBA na nag-padala na sila ng imbitasyon sa isa sa pro leagues team ng Argentina ang Club Obras sa pamama-gitan ni Coca-Cola coach Chot Reyes, na nagkaroon ng four-day immer-sion program doon noong Enero.

Dalawang foreign teams ang kailangan ng PBA para sa Fiesta Cup at isa dito ang Asian heavyweight Lebanon na nagkumpirma na ng kanilang partisipasyon."Hopefully, by the end of the week, we will have a clearer picture as to the foreign teams that will play here," ani Santos.

Ayon kay Reyes, sinabi ng kanyang contact sa Argentina na si Club Obras assistant coach Fernardo Murphy, na maaaring magkaroon ng conflict sa schedule.

"I can’t really talk about the chances, but I think it could boil down to scheduling. If there are no conflicts, then maybe there is a chance they will accept the invitation," ani Reyes.
