Lhuillier-Kuwarta Padala kampeon sa NBL National Championship

Nag-init ang M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu sa pag-pasok ng third canto upang kumawala sa Forward Taguig at itakas ang unang NBL National Championship crown sa bisa ng 91-80 panalo kahapon sa New Cebu Coliseum.

Ipinamalas ng Cebuanos na naghabol sa buong bahagi ng first half ang kanilang tikas nang maglabas ng intensibong performance sina pointguard Wuddraw Enriquez, Ruben dela Rosa at ang may edad ng skipper na si Darryl Smith bago isinalpak ni Arnold Rodriguez ang final na iskor na siyang nagsara sa kanilang best-of-three series sa pamamagitan ng sweep.

Humakot si Rodriguez ng 22 puntos, tatlong rebounds at pitong assists sa nasabing panalo na naghatid rin sa kanya na hiranging Finals MVP sa tournament na ito.

"M. Lhuillier has been in the basketball scene for the past 20 years and won several championships. But for us, this triumph is probably the sweetest because we all worked hard for it," dagdag pa niya.

Gumamit ang Lhuillier ng 12-2 bomba sa bungad ng third canto upang agawin ang pangunguna sa 54-48 na hindi na nila binitiwan pa.

Tanging nagawa lamang ng Taguig ay ang makalapit sa 79-84, 2:04 ang nalalabi sa laro.
