Padilla matikas pa rin ang pulso

Ipinamalas ng beteranong internationalist na si Nathaniel ‘Tac’ Padilla ang kanyang matikas na pulso sa tudlaan upang dominahin ang rapid fire pistol event ng kasalukuyang shooting team eliminations sa PSC range sa Fort Bonifacio.

Umasinta si Tac ng 574 puntos upang kumawala sa kanyang kapatid na si Donald Padilla na nagposte naman ng 562 at Arthur Cabinian na mayroong 543.

"I’m slowly rounding into top form in my preparation for the (Vietnam) Southeast Asian Games," pahayag ni Tac Padilla, general manager ng Spring Cooking Oil.

Nagtala rin siya ng series na 288 at 286 sa 8-, 6- sa 4 second rounds.

Nagsosyo naman sa karangalan sina Carolino Gonzales at Therese Cantada nang kanilang pangunahan ang men’s at women’s air pistol competitions.

Umiskor si Gonzales ng 670 puntos upang talunin ang kapatid na si Marcelo (666.7) at Gilbert Escobar (663.8), habang bumaril naman si Cantada ng 467.1 upang pabagsakin sina Susan Aguado (460.2) at Luz Remedios Samaco (457.3).

Dinomina naman ng mga mainstays ng ‘Gintong Pangarap’ program na pinangasiwaan nina Philippine National Shooting Association president Art Macapagal at AFP-DND ang 50-meter free rifle prone event.
