PSC bubuo ng komite para sa 2005 SEAG

Upang maseguro ang tagumpay ng bansa sa pagho-host ng 2005 Southeast Asian Games, nakipag-usap kahapon si Philippine Sports Commission Chairman (PSC) Eric Buhain sa SEA Games Advisory Group na binubuo ng ilang cabinet members sa pangunguna ni Executive Secretary Alberto Romulo.
Ayon pa kay Buhain, ang nasabing government sports agency ay nakatakdang magbuo ng committee na makikipag-koordinasyon sa Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at mag-uulat ng direkta sa Advisory Group hinggil sa preparasyon ng nabanggit na biennial games.
"The primary objective is to ensure the success of the countrys, hosting of the SEA Games since the event is a national commitment and involves national interest," ani Buhain. "The main focus here is to provide intensive preparation for our national athletes to boost our chances in capturing the overall title, if not deliver a very strong performance before our countrymen in 2005."
Tinukoy rin ni Buhain ginagampanan ng national government ang lahat upang ganap na maihanda ang mga atleta kontra sa mga dayuhang karibal sa SEAG.
"The government knows full well that sports is a cohesive force in nation building and a strong showing by our athletes in the 2005 SEA Games would reflect President Arroyos thrust for a strong republic," dagdag ni Buhain. "Partnership, cooperation and support of all stakeholders are the keys to achieve our overall objectives."
