"We are not sending tourists to the Southeast Asian Games (in Viet-nam). We have picked the athletes based on the criteria we have set," ani Steve Hontiveros, chairman ng POC Technical Committee.

"We have made honest-to-goodness choices, according to our best judgment. We believe we are sending the best Filipino athletes, who are well-trained and ready to win honor for the country," anaman ni Julian Camacho, ang chef de mission sa Vietnam SEAG.
