P.5-M nakataya sa Manila Marathon

Mahigit sa P.5 milyon ang nakatayang premyo kung saan ang men’s 42K champion ay magbubulsa ng P75,000 at ang women’s titlist naman sa nasabi ring distansiya ay kikita ng P50,000 sa inagurasyon ng Manila Marathon, ang siyang pinakamalaking karera sa Pilipinas na tatakbo sa Hunyo 22 sa mga kalsada ng Manila.

Ayon kay Ali Atienza, chairman ng organizing Manila Sports Council (MASCO) at project director ng Manila Marathon, mayroon ring mga tropeo, medalya at finishers certificates ang ipamimigay sa mga kalahok na inaasahang aabot sa mahigit 10,000.

Idinagdag pa ni Atienza na walang registration fees na sisingilin sa Manila Marathon.

"This is our way of opening the race to everyone not only to emphasize on its competitive or sports aspect but to everyone as many enthusiasts so they would adopt running as part of their physical fitness regimen," ani Atienza.

Bagamat walang bayad na kukulektahin, ang mga interesadong kalahok ay kailangang mag-fillup ng kanilang registration form na makukuha sa MASCO offices sa Manila City Hall at San Andres Sports Complex sa Malate, Manila sa pamamagitan ni Ting Daulos at ng Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association office kay secretary general Ben Silva Netto sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
