Mag-amang Atienza nasiyahan sa pagtuklas ng mga bagong atleta

Nagpahayag ng mataas na pag-asa sina Manila Mayor Lito Atienza at Manila Sports Council chief Arnold ‘Ali’ Atienza para sa kinabukasan ng mga kabataan sa lungsod sa 2nd Manila Youth Games na pormal at matagumpay na nagwakas noong Linggo.

"Competition alone is not the primary objective of the MY Games. We are confident that the noble endeavor served not only as an athletic tool for the city’s youth but also as a vehicle for molding assets of society," ani Mayor Atienza.

"We hope that through the MY Games, we are ful-filling our contribution to the country’s grassroots development program and we envision an even bigger MY Games next year," dagdag naman ni MASCO chief Ali Atienza, anak ng alkalde.

Ipinangako ni Mayor Atienza ang kanyang suporta para sa pagsasanay at paghahanda ng mga outstanding athlete sa MY Games para sa mga national level competition sa hinaharap.

Nakadiskubre ang 2nd MY Games ng mga bata at potensiyal na batang atleta sa katauhan nina 5-gold medal winners Antonio Mendenilla, Analyn Ricalde, at Joy Regillas sa athletics. Swimmers Mikee Bartolome, Judith Elizah Cruz at Thessa Paula Alcantara, at gymnasts Rachelyn Astillar.

Ang iba pang outstanding performers ay sina 4-gold medal winners Daryll Ceballos sa athletics, swimmer Johansen Aguilar at gymnasts Magie Wagan, Rizza Desiree Garcia at Bleau Berry Gulfan.
