Preparasyon sa MYG pinaghahandaan

Ang paghahanda para sa pagtatanghal ng 2nd Manila Youth Games na nakatakda sa Abril 6-13 ay todo na sa pagdaraos ng Manila Sports Council ng regular strategic talks sa iba’t ibang opisina at organization na may kinalaman.

Madalas na nakikipag-usap si MASCO chief Arnold ‘Ali’ Atienza, anak ng alkalde ng Manila na si Lito Atienza sa iba’t ibang pinuno ng Division of City Schools, Barangay Youth, Tourism bureau, City Engi-neers’s Office, City Budget Office, kinatawan mula sa Philippine Sports Commission, National Sports Association at pribadong sektor.

Kabilang sa mga tinatalakay ay ang objectives at mechanics ng MYG, rules at eligibility, mobilization of participants, funding requirements, technical support, facilities at venues, equipments at ang social activities at opening ceremonies.

"We are pleased with the enthusiasm and support of the various offices and private entities involved have committed for the staging of the 2nd Manila Youth Games," anang batang Atienza.

"Magkakaroon ng makulay na opening ceremonies na katatampukan ng pagbibigay ng mga plake ng pagkilala sa mga Manila’s sports greats at cheering competition para sa isang linggong palaro na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission at WG&A Super Ferry at Philippine Navy.

Ang PSC, sa pamamahala ni chairman Eric Buhain, ang magbibigay ng finacial support sa MYG at ang paggamit ng makasaysayang Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Ang MYG na bahagi ng ‘Buhayin ang Maynila’ program ni Mayor Atienza ay isang comprehensive mass based sports development program ng lungsod para sa mga out and in-school youth na may edad 15 pababa.
