Dadalhin ng Top food company na Nutrilicious ang prangkisa ng Shark Energy Drink.

Ito’y makaraang maiselyo ang nasabing deal makaraang lumagda sina dating Cheese Balls-Shark team manager Jesse Chua at Nutrilicious president Rogelio Nemeño sa isang memorandum of agreement kahapon.

"We believe in PBL’s thrusts for basketball development and the success of the 2002 season further inspired us to join the league," wika ni Nemeño.

Tangka ni Chua na bumuo ng mga bago at sariwang talento para sa bagong kumpanya kung saan plano niya na maging malayo ito at kakaiba sa dating lineup ng two-time champion Shark Energy Drink.

"We’re looking at a fresh start, but it’s gonna be another winning team. We may retain some players and pick up new talented potentials--but definitely, the team will be of a different character compared to Shark. All that will depend on the coach," ani pa Chua.

"I’m also happy that Nutrilicious is eyeing a long-term commitment with the PBL. We will soon announce a try-out for the team and choose other talents from the rookie draft," dagdag pa ni Chua.

Hanggang kahapon, mayroon ng 30 aspirante ang lumagda ng application forms para sa PBL Rookie Draft para sa 2003 season.
