15th Asian Athletic Association inilunsad

Matagumpay na inilunsad kahapon ang 15th Asian Athletic Championships na iho-host ng bansa sa Setyembre 18-21.
Mismong ang International Olympic Committee representative Frank Elizalde ang dumalo sa paglulunsad na ginanap sa Tiara Hotel sa Makati City.
Dumalo din ang ilang pinuno ng National Sports Association, PSC commissioner Mike Barredo, Manila Sports Council head Ali Atienza at maging si NCRPO Director Gen. Reynaldo Velasco para suportahan ang national trackfest na magbibigay muli sa bansa ng panibagong anyo.
"We need unity, we need cooperation and we need a positive image for our country. Im sure it (Asian Championships) will give us a great image when it is finished," ani Elizalde.
Maging ang dating Asias Sprint queen na si Lydia de Vega-Mercado na isang konsehal na ngayon sa Meycauayan, Bulacan, ay nagbigay ng suporta para sa pagtatanghal ng prestihi-yosong event na ito.
"I am deeply moved by the support shown by my colleagues in the POC and our friends from the government and even the military. This early, I predict that the Manila 15th Asian Athletics Championships will be a smashing success," pahayag ni Go. (Ulat ni Dina Marie Villena)
