3 beteranong Olympians balik national team

Tatlo sa apat na Sydney Olympic Games veterans ang nagbalik sa national team noong Linggo nang dominahin ang kani-kanilang classweight sa 2001 Carlos Palanca Jr. Memorial Taekwondo championships sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Itoy sina finweight Roberto Cruz at Eva Marie Ditan, na kapwa taga Las Piñas at bantam/feather Jasmin Strachan ng UST.
Hindi nagpakita ng aksiyon ang isa pang RP Olympian na si Donald Geisler.
Tinalo ni Cruz si Thoslee Go, habang ginapi naman ni Ditan si Daleen Cordero at pinigil ni Strachan si Kalindi Tamayo.
Sina Go, Cordero at Tamayo ay pawang mga taga UST.
Ang iba pang nanalo ng ginto at napabilang sa national team ay sina:
Mens division--Manuel Rivero Jr., DLSU, flyweight; Jefferthom Go, Navy, bantam; Wency Salvador, Bulacan State U, feather; Dean Limbo, Army, lightweight; Mark Rivero, UST, welter at Dax Morfe, Army, heavyweight.
Womens division--Dirolyn Papelera, UST, fly; Camela Albino, Navy, light/welter at Sally Solis, Teamsports, middle/heavy.
