Millennium Intra Government Chess Team tourney magsisimula na

Simula na ang giyera sa larangan ng ahedres o chess sa pagbubukas ng pinakaaabangan na Millennium Intra Government Chess Team Championship na gaganapin sa darating na Nov. 13-25, sa ganap na alas-6:30-9:30 ng gabi sa Social Hall Bureau of Custom, Port Area, Manila.

Tinatayang aabot sa 24 koponan ang kumpirmadong kalahok sa chessfest na ito na inorganisa ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Chess Club Chairman Jess Paulo at Executive Assistant ng office ni PSC commissioner Leonardo Celles sa pakikipagtulungan ng Bagumbuhay Chess Club.

Inaasahang magiging mahigpitan ang labanan na pangungunahan ng dalawang koponan na magmumula sa PSC, Social Security System (SSS), Office of the President sa pangunguna ni National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) chairman lawyer Quirino Sagario, Department of Finance, Ombudsman, Bureau of Custom, Napocor, ang power house team ng Philippine Navy, Army Airforce at Philippine National Police (PNP), DILG, BIR, DENR, DAR, GSIS, PPA, LUWA, DTI, QC Gov’t., Mun-tinlupa (Mayor Jimmy Presnedi), Philippine National Bank (PNB), Central Bank at Land Bank.

Si International Arbiter (IA) candidate Gene Poliarco ang magsisilbing chief arbiter ng nasabing chessfest at ang asst., arbiter naman ay si National Arbiter NM Elias Lao.
