MANILA, Philippines - USANA Philippines’ advocacy arm, True Health Foundation Philippines, recently partnered with the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish to help the less fortunate members of the community in Makati experience the joy of the yuletide season.
USANA Philippines’ Independent Distributor Council (IDC) in the country held a simple yet fun-filled Christmas program for over 100 children and their families, who were all given grocery packs, loot bags and nutritional supplement for children.
Discussing the virtue of the program, IDC chairman Bren Evangelista explained that aside from working hand in hand with USANA to promote good health among Filipinos, they also pursue activities that touch other people’s lives and drive sustainability programs for stable community growth. This is why the group decided to focus on one community and push for its sustainability.
“It’s heartwarming to see children have hope and have fun. It inspires us to do more and help more,” he said.
True Health Foundation’s initiative was welcomed whole-heartedly by the parish and its member families. “We are happy that USANA decided to extend their help,” notes Msgr. Dennis Odiver.
Aside from the partnership with St. Andrew the Apostle, True Health Foundation is also currently in collaboration with Cornerstone to promote education among the Filipino youth.
