Convergys’ annual slipper drive benefits 10,000 street kids

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Convergys employees at the Security Land Makati site recently concluded their 4th annual slipper drive, dubbed “Happy Feet Year 4”, achieving a total of 10,000 pairs of slippers distributed to children in Metro Manila and nearby provinces over the last four years.

Employee volunteers drove around Bagong Silang, Caloocan City; Kawit, Cavite; Marikina City and Antipolo City to give away slippers to street children.

The last 1,000 pairs were given to pre- school and elementary students of Andres Bonifacio Elementary School in Pasay City in November 2014.

Happy Feet is one of the many annual charitable programs that the BPO company supports through its Convergys Community Action Network (CAN).

Convergys CAN enables employees in each site to support local beneficiaries and give back in the communities where the employees live and work.
