The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) is one of the finalists in the World Mail Awards 2014 organized by Triangle Management Services Ltd. based in Berlin, Germany.

PHLPost’s entry titled “Re-Engineering PHLPost” was submitted last February and was accepted as a nominee under the category People Management, wherein finalists are judged with respect to internal relationships and good people management.

The World Mail Awards is the postal sector’s most prestigious international award-giving body that recognizes excellence and innovation at all levels and areas of business, from successful customer service initiatives to groundbreaking technological advances.

PHLPost has been nominated along with two others from Belgium. The awarding will be held on June 18 in Berlin.

Postmaster General Josefina dela Cruz was pleased with the nomination, saying this only demonstrates PHLPost’s efforts through the years to better its workforce for the attainment of its vision to be the preferred universal delivery service provider in every Filipino community.

“We are humbled by the nomination from the World Mail Awards. This will only make us work harder, strive to further improve our services and continue to be relevant in this modern age,” Dela Cruz said.

Finalists of this award are judged according to their excellence in people management practice in areas such as change management, partnership with unions, motivation, raising performance, training and development.
