MANILA, Philippines - Megaworld solidified its partnership with WWF-Philippines to lead the Philippines’ biggest power switch-off for Earth Hour last Saturday, 8:30 p.m. at the Eastwood Open Park in Eastwood City. Residential condominiums, office towers, malls and commercial buildings actively took part in the one-hour switchoff to show solidarity with the rest of the world to fight climate change. Eastwood City is one of Megaworld’s biggest townships and is home to more than 20,000 residents and 55,000 workers. Earth Hour is a global campaign spearheaded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) that uses the simple act of turning off lights for 60 minutes to deliver a powerful message on the need for decisive climate change solutions.
