Monsoon victims clean up with Samsung

MANILA, Philippines - After the devastation brought about by the recent monsoon rains, Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation aided our?countrymen badly affected by the floods by offering free usage of?washing machines.

For the whole month of August, Samsung washing?machines were brought to the different barangays of Marikina, San Juan?and Quezon City.?

Samsung also distributed a hundred 2.2-kg bags of Champion detergent as well?as 8-liter fabric conditioners to the victims of?the floods to help them in washing their clothes. Employees of Samsung?were on hand during the activity to assist the families in using the?washing machines.

Aside from helping the victims clean their clothes, Samsung employees?also visited the province of Pampanga to distribute relief goods.?About 500 families were badly affected in barangays San Esteban and San?Simon. Bags containing food and toiletries were distributed.?Volunteers from the Red Cross were also present to help in the?distribution of the relief goods.
