Project LEAP benefits school in Lipa City

-

MANILA, Philippines –  Epson Precision (Phils) Inc. president Osamu Koshiishi led the turn-over of a learning resource package for the Kayumanggi Elementary School in Lipa City, Batangas. Proceeds from the Balik Baterya recycling program of used lead-acid batteries of Motolite were used to purchase books in English, Math and Science. Motolite and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) launched Balik Baterya in 2006 to support Project LEAP, an initiative to improve the quality of basic education through provision of text/workbooks, training of teachers, remedial reading camps and supplemental feeding.
