Knighthood to maritime affairs advocate

-

MANILA, Philippines - Netherlands Ambassador Robert Brinks bestowed upon Josephine Francisco the Knighthood in the Order of Orange Nassau during a reception he hosted at his residence for the participants of the bilateral consultations of the 11th Joint Committee on Maritime Affairs (JCMA).

Ambassador Brinks said he considered the bilateral maritime cooperation as one of the jewels in the crown of Philippine-Netherlands bilateral cooperation, where public and private sectors of both our countries manage to work closely together in a win-win situation.

The prestigious royal decoration was bestowed upon Francisco for her tireless efforts and outstanding services in the development of the maritime industry and in commemoration of her active involvement in promoting bilateral ties, and in the establishment of the Netherlands Shipping Training Center (NSTC) in Palompon.
