- Christina Mendez -

MANILA, Philippines - The Senate is set to commend two young computer wizards for bringing honor to the Philippines at an international computer competition.

Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel, Jr. filed Senate Resolution 1320 seeking to commend Anthony Sy and Reynaldo Luz of Fountain International School in San Juan City for winning bronze medals and certificates of recognition during the International Computer Project Olympiad held in Ankara, Turkey last May, organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Atlantik Educational Institutions.

The team from the Fountain International School, which represented the Philippines, qualified for the finals with its entry for the “Web Site of Educator” category entitled “One Manila, One Dream.”

The Philippine entry was created and presented by 4th year student Anthony Sy and 1st year student Reynaldo Luz under the guidance of Onur Kilicaslan. The entry won the third place.

“These young achievers and their school deserve acclamation for bringing honor to our country through their determination and proficiency,” Pimentel said.
