Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium: Advancing in the Memorial Industry

MANILA, Philippines - When it comes to memorial services, there must be no compromise. Efficiency and dependability are two hallmarks of an excellent memorial company – fortunately, Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium, Inc. (LMCCI) adheres to those very standards.

Established in 1972 by the late Senate President Gil Puyat, LMCCI’s chapels and mortuary services maintain their strict quality and tradition which has made them famous in the memorial industry. The highly-trained professional staff offers many options for would-be clients with a high level of customization that often go above and beyond their work.

“We are one of the pioneers in the memorialization business,” said Antonio Puyat, Jr., president of LMCCI. “When we set up the Guadalupe branch, we came in a big way. This was a very modern facility, stainless steel equipment, freezers, complete viewing rooms, family rooms, etc. It was the most complete facility at the time.”

That tradition continues across all of LMCCI’s branches in Sucat, Marikina, Cubao, Los Baños and a new one at Commonwealth. All are complete. Not only are they mortuaries, they also have cremation facilities and generators. The cremation machines have been approved for operation by the Department of Health and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

All of LMCCI’s well-appointed chapels have the comfort and privacy of families of the deceased in mind. There are chapels that are suited to fit varying needs and budgets for a proper and dignified memorialization. Each chapel is airconditioned a nd comes with telephone, baths, watercooler and 24-hour janitorial services.

It’s all about building relationships with clients, so when you need them, LMCCI will be there. Puyat says, “What we’re offering now is a higher quality of service. We have funeral hosts to guide families on site; we give free refreshments and have the most extensive number of custom services. You just need to ask us.”

Whatever need, big or small, important or inconsequential, LMCCI’s dedicated and highly-trained staff strives to get it done all for the sake of having a stress-free memorial service. Aside from a safe, comfortable and secure viewing chapel, LMCCI has 24-hour guarded parking facilities, food catering, fax facilities, flower arrangements, professional hosting services, photo and video coverage, transfer of remains from hospital or home to the Loyola Chapels and a liaison officer to secure all necessary permits.

Other services include direct cremation with free selected urn, viewing of ashes, repatriation of remains to any point in the country and the world and memorial services for remains from abroad and the provinces.

As a member of the Philippine Mortuary Association (PMA), LMCCI has strong partnerships with hundreds of accredited chapels nationwide. Puyat adds, “Being a member of the PMA has strengthened our relationship with our provincial partners. They provide us information on good member partners which we can be confident about certifying as Loyola partners.”

Advancing even further in the business is LMCCI’s thrust towards better – and lesser – environmental impact. “Our cremation machines will be outfitted with more stringent anti-pollution devices,” Puyat informed. “We’re also looking at greener burials with the type of chemicals that we use. All of our chapels strictly adhere to DENR regulations.”

Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium, Inc. is the memorial service company of the Loyola Group. They have the largest network of company owned chapels in Metro Manila and have over 200 accredited chapels nationwide.
