Companies team up with PDRF to bring water to Nueva Ecija and Aurora

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Thirsty residents of Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija drink from water filtration containers provided by Landbank that were supplied by Waves for Water, an international NGO. The delivery was coordinated by the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) through its cluster system together with the NDRMMC and the Department of Health. Coca Cola, Manila Water and Maynilad also provided water to residents of Laur, Pantabangan as well as Gabaldon. The water was distributed through Barangay Health Stations and the DOH provincial representative Dr. Edwin Santiago and parishes through the Social Action Group, Gratia Plena. The water system of the various towns was damaged during Typhoon Lando. Also through the PDRF cluster group, Monark, a heavy equipment and logistics firm, used NLEX trucks and fuel from Shell to supply a generator to provide water for four barangays in Dinalungan, Aurora suffering from the effects of Lando. PDRF is a network of private companies focused on disaster management co-chaired by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, PLDT and Metro Pacific chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan and Ayala Corporation chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala.
