Comics summer
Learn the basics of comic book writing and ullustrating at Lopez Museum’s “Youthsome Yarns to Yearn For: The BLTX Summer Komix Workshop†on May 8, 9, 13 and 14 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The workshop for teens and adults consists of lectures and discussions about the comic book form, as well as writing and drawing exercises facilitated by writer-artist Josel Nicolas and critic Adam David. Learn to make handmade figurines and functional objects in a hands-on workshop inspired by the works of National Artist Napoleon Abueva. Open to kids aged 7-11, on May 3 and 7, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
