MANILA, Philippines - The Tanaw art competition aims to raise the standards of excellence in art making in the country and seeks the overall development of contemporary art in the Philippines.
It is open to Filipino professional and non-professional artists, 18 years old and above, who have won, at least once, in national and international art contests or have been invited to participate in international art expositions. Entries are now being accepted at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas main office and regional offices.
The first prize winner will receive P500,000 while second and third prize winners will receive P300,000 and P200,000 respectively. The winners will be announced during the opening of the 2nd Tanaw exhibition, which will run from May to August 2013 at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila.
