MANILA, Philippines - Upon the invitation of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the University of Santo Tomas highlights anew its 400th founding anniversary with an exhibition and concert of the UST Singers at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
The exhibition at the Salle des Pas Perdus with theme “Four Centuries of Promoting Understanding, Peace and Culture” will run from Sept. 21 to 23 and will present photos and images that highlight the University’s contribution to Philippine society and the world, and educate the viewers on the role and participation of UST in the formation, development and advancement of the Philippine educational system.
The concert “UST Singers: A Gift to the World ” will be on Sept. 21, 7:30 pm at Salle I, UNESCO House, Paris. The UST Singers will present a repertoire of sacred songs, classical and contemporary songs, and folk songs from the Philippines.
