On the carousel of social happenings that was February we recount two events that make it to our list of events. One was a simple get-together of close-knit friends to celebrate the birthday of VECO senior vice-president Jimmy Aboitiz. Lovely wife Bernie orchestrated the surprise with Jimmy’s closest friends in assembly at Gustavian’s Taproom. Casual need not be boring and mugs of beer over pub grub was a great way to perk up an otherwise sleepy midweek night in Cebu.

Chimes Specialty store in Davao sets the trends with the alluring Cindy Yap at its helm. A fashion show dubbed Travel Around the World highlighted clothes, footwear and accessories that are chic and comfortable enough for globetrotting. Helpfully assisting Cindy in this fashion event were sisters Camille and Cassandra together with brothers Clark and Chase.
