Electrolux hosts washing marathon

MANILA, Philippines - In partnership with ABS-CBN, Metro Gaisano and Ayala, Metro Ayala Cebu’s parking lot was transformed into a festive celebration of singing, dancing, washing and ironing, as Electrolux held its biggest charity washing event yet.

The sequel to last year’s award-winning event, “A Thousand Kilos for Heavy Loads and Lighter Hearts,” this year’s washing marathon was even bigger as Electrolux donated clothes to Tabang Patrol. 

Also in keeping with the theme of bigger and better, Cebuanos donated even more generously this year as Electrolux was able to collect five thousand kilos of clothes. The Cebu Charity Washing Marathon is part of the Electrolux Wash-a-Palooza campaign.

“With the Cebu Charity Washing Marathon, we are bringing the party out of the store and giving people in need reasons to smile with the gift of clean clothes,” said Terry Sales, Marketing Manager of Electrolux Philippines. 

“Through your kindness and generosity, those affected by floods will have a truck-load of clothes ready to keep them warm during this typhoon season.”
