MANILA, Philippines - Operation Blessing Philippines (OB) gratefully received donations of medicine from the Embassy of Israel in Manila as part of its continuous rehabilitation efforts for victims of recent typhoons.
Yaniv Revach, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Israeli Embassy, turned over 11 boxes of medicine to OB president Peter Kairuz and executive vice president Kim April Pascual at the headquarters of CBN Asia, Inc. in Makati.
“Especially during the time of need, we are honored to help our friends here in the Philippines,” said Revach. The medicine was donated by a Jewish organization in the United States, he added.
“This medicine means a lot to us,” said Dr. Pascual. “We can continue doing medical missions in disaster relief areas.”
Operation Blessing has successfully partnered with Israel Forum for International Humanitarian Aid (IsraAID) for relief efforts for typhoon victims.
A team of six IsraAid volunteers comprised of doctors, nurses and paramedics stayed in Laguna and Pangasinan for three weeks to assist in OB’s medical missions in flood-affected communities.
