MANILA, Philippines - The skies of Santa Rosa, Laguna turned into a garden of lights during Enchanted Kingdom’s (EK) 14th anniversary as six contenders from different parts of the Philippines vied for the Grand Sky Wizardry Championship.
The activity was in line with EK’s thrust to support Filipino fireworks manufacturers.
Sky Glitter of Bulacan bagged 2nd place, with Sky Wizardry 2008 winner Pyrohaven also of Bulacan winning 1st place. The 2009 Sky Wizardry Champion and new title holder is Sanicom Fireworks of General Santos City who won the plum prize of P100,000 cash, trophy and EK certificates.
The event was graced by a board of judges composed of singer, Arnel Pineda, boxer Nonito Donaire, GMA7 CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, composers Ryan Cayabyab and Tats Faustino, US Embassy representative Tyrena Holley, Pepsi VP Felix Yu, Laguna governor Teresita Lazaro, Laguna mayor Josefina Arcillas and TV personality Winnie Monsod.
From now until Dec. 18, the park is open Thursdays to Fridays from 12 nn to 7 pm and Saturdays to Sundays from 11 am to 9 pm with fireworks display at 8 pm.
