Animation Council awards scriptwriting contest winners

MANILA, Philippines - As part of the active campaign of Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) in producing original Filipino content in animation grounded on the rich cultural heritage of the country, ACPI and the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines (UNACOM) held the first nationwide animated flash fiction scriptwriting contest.

The grand prize winner is Anna Abigail Rioflorido Yap for her script, “For better, for worse.” Yap received a plaque and a cash prize of P 10,000. The second prize winner is Christoffer Ralph Kenneth G. Abordo for his script “Call me Pepe.” Abordo received a plaque and a cash prize of P 7,000. Lastly, Bernadette Villanueva Neri bagged the third prize of P5,000. for “Dap-ayan ng Kalinangang Pinoy.”
