The concept of an exclusive cinema has arrived, dahlings, via the formal opening of Ayala Malls’ MyCinema, the country’s only private movie theater with its own cocktail and lobby area. At MyCinema, larger-than-life experiences become intimate, and it’s the only cinema where you can bring famille and pals, clients and colleagues for a private screening of a movie of your choice, or even do impressive business presentations.

During the premiere showing, palanggas, guests including Philip and Sandy Romualdez, Dennis and Tessa Valdes, Ces Drilon and famille, Tina Ocampo and kids were impressed with the 50 luxurious Ferco seats and the state-of-the-art Dolby EX sound. Food merchants from Greenbelt 3 where MyCinema is housed served gustatory pickings and drinks throughout the week-long premiere screenings.

Culinary rapture ruled as invitees indulged in Scandinavian delights at the opening of the Viking Feast at The Tower Club, dahlings. Club GM Rupert Haarhoff and Viking Cars Inc. AVP Goran Akerstein were the afable hosts. Noted names from the business and political arena graced the event, among them Ambassadors Paul Moe of Norway, Raimo Antola and wife Liisa of Finland, Ulf Hakansson and wife Lena of Sweden and Finnish consul Marja Korhonen.

Soft polka wonderfully played on the baby grand, tasty hors d’oeuvres and ice cold Carlsberg beer set the mood. Chefs Zaldy Ladroma and Paolo Guevarra expertly whipped up recipes like herring with tomato salsa, salmon grav lax, traditional green pea soup, braised garoupa with mussels, oven-roasted lamb and a dessert called The Midnight Sun, a multi-layer choco delight.

Success of this wondrous event were due to the efforts of GM Haarhoff, Tower Club’s events manager Henree Weiner and Viking Cars’ Lyn Manalansang, Tower Club’s membership director Cyndy Tan-Jarabata and the energetic sales staff.
