Well-Applauded Musical Evening

One of the most applauded music concerts, dahlings, was the staging of the Toyota Classics 2002, featuring Spain-based Cadaques Orchestra guided by acclaimed French conductor Philippe Entremont. Guest artists included Filipino tenor Leodigario del Rosario, who performed to great acclaim, and celebrated guitarist Jose Maria Gallardo del Rey astounded everyone with his dexterity on the strings, palanggas, with a repertoire of works by Joaquin Rodrigo and Manuel de Falla.
During intermission, executives of Toyota Motor Corp. and their partners went on stage to turn over the concerts proceeds to Tabang Mindanaw III, which is raising funds for Filipinos displaced from Malaysia. The benefactors were composed of Toyota Phils. president Nobuharu Tabata and EVP David Go, Toyota Motors director Yoshio Shirai, Metrobank pres. Antonio Abacan and EVP Arthur Ty. Representing Tabang Mindanaw were Amb. Howard Dee, Ayalas Fernando Zobel de Ayala and Phil. Daily Inquirer pres. Alexandra Prieto-Romualdez.
Guests came in droves despite the drizzle to the opening of Roy Veneracions New Works: Painting the Subconscious at Galleria Duemila at SM Megamall, dahlings, led by fellow artists Lino Severino, Danny Dalena and daughter Aba Lluch Dalena, Al Perez, Lito Carating, Henri Cainglet, Andy Maluche as well as pals Thea Paz, Ronald Garcia, Shahid Zahid, Vicky Abad, Paulo Vinluan and more namedroppable art lovers.
Filinvest-Alabang proudly inaugurated its premier leisure development, Palms Country Club, an oasis for relaxation, recreation and famille bonding. Fr. Vitaliano Dimaranan blessed what he called the "fountain of life" which would revitalize those who enter the portals of the club.
