The evening started with a touching and simple invocation delivered by eldest daughter Emy. Litas son Mon, who is one of the countrys top musical arrangers and directors, acted as the emcee and sang beautifully the song "I Will be Here" for his mom.
Her grandchildren, Karla and Denise, children of her son Ding and his wife Elsa, also rendered a beautiful medley of The Carpenters. This was followed by Elvis Presleys songs sung by Lillian Pickard, founder of Rhapsody Ladies Club.
Friends and other guests, who all came in red as requested by the celebrator include Noemi Cuenca, who sang "Two for the Road" and "Sanay Wala Nang Wakas". The night was made more beautiful with Litas acknowledgement of his son Tats, SOPs musical director and arranger.
Bistro 110, the friendly neighborhood Makati hangout, rewarded its loyal followers with a straightforward, invite-only event.
Upon entering, guests were given beads. Ala mardi gras style, people were encouraged to give their best beads to the wildest souls of the evening. The ones with the most beads at the end of the night would win the prizes.
The highlight of the evening though, palangas, was the Bikini Fashion Show where six sultry young ladies scantily clad in bikinis, courtesy of fabric warehouse, drove yuppies crazy.
