Chris Found His Jane

They met at a mooncake festival fund-raiser that she and a couple of pals organized. Unknown to her, she was being set up to meet him and his best pals at the same time. A comedy of errors took place, dahlings, but in the end, Cupid took over and a new chapter in the lives of Chris Tiu and Jane Yao began.

She is the second daughter of Alberto and Myrna Yao of Richwell Trading that distributes Barbie dolls, Mattel toys and more. Cyber-smart Jane has a degree in physical therapy and is now finishing her MBA at UP. He is the eldest son of taipan Carlos and Rosario Tiu, a La Salle graduate who now manages the famille lighting and electrical products business. Hot shot namedroppable principal sponsors were Sen. Loren Legarda, Jose Mari Chan, working heiress Gina Lopez, Chris’ baptismal godparents William Uy and Pilar Lim, Angel Tan, Amy Wong, Betty Roxas-Chua, Masahiro Hata, Daisy Yao, Henry Sy Jr. and Sen. Jun Magsaysay represented by Herbert Sy and Agusto Banson Catindig, respectively.

Ninong Joe Mari Chan sang the couple’s theme song "Afraid for Love to Fade" and a fitting song for the occasion, "A Love to Last a Lifetime". To Chris and Jane, may your love really last a lifetime. Cheers!

Gold’s Gym’s Dress Down half a full moon ago, dahlings, was an endorphin-inducing, hormone-producing affair at Streetlife. Upbeat tempos infected the guests, catching glimpses of Gold Gym’s stunning trainers.

Streetlife’s man on the street Jaime Garchitorena spotted lovely Tweetie de Leon with hubby Mon Gonzales. FWD editor TJ Manotoc and showbiz Mickey Ferriols exhibited the benefits of working out. When the dress down started and the stunning models dared to bare, guests agreed that healthy and fit do look gorgeous! Nominations were out for the "Gorgeous" awards; John Estrada and Jackie Lou Blanco led the list. Votes will be cast and the winner will be unveiled and undressed at Gold Gym’s grand opening in July.
